Please help protect all of our students as they enter and leave school. In cooperation with the Villa Park Police
Department, the PTA Safety and Traffic Committee, and Ardmore’s staff, we would like to share the following:

• Signs are posted prohibiting stopping, standing or parking.
  • Please do not pick up/drop off your child at these locations:
    • School St. South side of School St. from Harvard Ave. to Yale Ave.
      North side of School St. from the school driveway to Harvard Ave.
    • Harvard Ave. East side of Harvard Ave. from School St. to the first large tree.
      West side of Harvard Ave. from School St. to Kenilworth Ave.
    • Yale Ave. East side of Yale Ave. from School St. to Kenilworth Ave.
      West side of Yale Ave. from School St. to the parking lot

• Picking up and dropping off students is permitted in areas which are marked as “No Parking.”
  • However the police may issue a ticket if the driver exits the vehicle.
  • A vehicle has been stopped for too long, therefore disrupting the flow of traffic.

• If you are using the drop off areas:
  • Please pull over to the curb before your child exits or enters the car.
  • Students must exit on the passenger side of the vehicle.
  • Once your child has left the car, please drive away from the school.
  • If you want to watch your child walk into school, please park you car in a legal spot and walk with him/her.

• Orange cones indicate:
  • Single cone – beginning or end of drop off (No Parking) areas
  • Staggered cones – no stopping, standing or parking areas

• The school parking lot is for buses and staff only.
  • Please do not enter the parking lot when dropping off/picking up.
  • When walking, the crosswalks and sidewalk should be used.
  • Students should not cross through the parking lot.

• At all times, please use the designated parking spots appropriately.
  • 15 minute parking space
  • Handicap parking space
