Spring 2013
Dear Parents and Guardians:
Providing a safe, clean learning environment for students and staff is a priority in School District 45. To help us achieve this goal, the District administration and faculty are asking for your assistance with regard to the school supply list for 2013-14.
The District is requesting that all items purchased for your children’s classrooms be scent free and bleach free. This includes items such as tissues (Kleenex) or cleaning wipes. With regard to cleaning wipes, please send only unscented baby wipes with your child’s supplies. There are many students with allergies/respiratory ailments who are affected by scented or bleach-based products and we want to provide a safe breathing environment for all of our students.
As you peruse your child’s supply list for the 2013-2014 school year, please keep this request in mind. District 45 strives for all students to be learning and growing in safe, clean classrooms. We don’t want students missing school due to breathing ailments triggered by tissues (Kleenex) or cleaning products.
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration of this request. Should you have any concerns or questions, I can be reached by phone at 630 516-7326 or by email at
