Wildcats perform at Spring Concerts

On April 17, during a school assembly, students at Jefferson Middle School were treated to a Spring Concert featuring the Wildcats’ Concert Choir, Concert Band, and Concert Orchestra. The students gave a sampling of the selections they performed at their evening concerts. Our Wildcat student-musicians are directed by Choir Director Mr. Coronado, Orchestra Director Ms. Kayser, and Band Director Mrs. Wallbruch.

“I am extremely proud of the work that the students have put in this year,” said Mr. Zach Coronado, Choir Director. “Each year, I am proud and amazed by the work our students put into their music, especially with our new 6th-grade Wildcat Choir that debuted this year.”

Mr. Coronado said that the choirs have made great strides in their musical journeys since the beginning of the year.

“The Wildcat Choir has come a long way from our first meeting and is just about ready to join the 7th and 8th grade Concert Choir,” said Coronado.

Coronado added that the Wildcat Concert Choir has also made great strides since the beginning of the year and has improved in singing in two—and three-part harmony.

“The students have developed the confidence and skills needed to sing multiple music parts at the same time, a complex task for new singers. I am so excited to see what new and challenging music the choir can make next year!”

Congratulations to all our Wildcats on yet another outstanding performance! Special thanks to Mr. Coronado, Ms. Kayser, Mrs. Wallbruch, the District 45 Music Boosters, and all those who help support our talented students!
