District 45
Preparing Students to Successfully Navigate a Dynamic World
- District 45
- Welcome
School District 45 offers a full continuum of special education and related services to meet the individual learning and social/emotional needs of each student with disabilities.
-
Students may receive inclusive support with specialized instruction in their home schools. District 45 also offers self-contained special education programs in several of our buildings for students in preschool through grade 8. District 45 students are also able to access the special education programs, training, and technical support through SASED, our Special Education Cooperative.
The District 45 Response to Intervention (RtI) model provides the framework for providing supports and resources to all students in the district. Regular benchmark assessments are completed and student data is analyzed to determine if students need interventions in the classroom to support their learning. Increasingly intensive interventions are available based on student need and student response to the interventions. The RtI process is a critical component in the identification of students with learning disabilities.
