The District 45 Board of Education serves a diverse student body of more than 3,400 students from Villa Park, Lombard, Oakbrook Terrace, and Elmhurst. The Board of Education works together with district administration to ensure that the D45 Mission and Vision is being adopted and in practice across the district.
Our current participants are 7 board members and 3 administrators for the Board Meeting reaching our limitation in compliance with Governor Pritzker’s Disaster Proclamation imposing a 10 person limit on meeting attendance. There will be no in-person public attendance and all public comments can be submitted via this form.
The State enacted legislation in spring 2020 that amended provisions to the Open Meetings Act. Public Act 101-640 allows school boards to hold meetings virtually during a disaster proclamation such as that due to COVID-19. The public may view meetings via livestream.d45.org.
In lieu of in-person Board Meetings, the D45 Board of Education asks that community members submit pubic comment(s) through this form. When appropriate, the Board may direct Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Anthony Palmisano to respond to questions or concerns. Comments must be submitted prior to 4:30pm on the day of the Board Meeting. Comments submitted after 4:30pm will be read at the next meeting.

Board members are elected to four-year terms in the April General Election.
District 45 Board Members "adopt" a school for periodic visits and chats. This gives them increased opportunities for face-to-face contact with students, teachers and parents. Listed below are our board members and their adopted school for the current school year.
