Preparing Students to Successfully Navigate a Dynamic World

Superintendent's Update - August 23, 2020
Dear District 45 Families,
On behalf of the Board of Education and all of us who work with and support your children, I want to welcome you to the 2020-21 school year! Our teachers are excited to see their students tomorrow and are looking forward to implementing the many creative and new ideas they have planned throughout the summer. Although we are in the midst of difficult times, we also know we have an opportunity to enrich education far beyond what we thought was possible. Our goal is to engage and inspire our students in new ways each day.
As the year progresses, we will keep you informed. Our Board of Education will review the success of remote learning and determine when state and local conditions allow us to return to in-person learning. Please continue to visit our website at d45.org/returntoschool, watch for our most common questions asked throughout the week, and stay tuned to our school newsletters as our principals continue to provide you with important information.
Thank you for your flexibility, patience, and grace. We are here to support your family. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us and have a great school year.
With the Pride of D45,
Dr. Anthony Palmisano
