Welcome Mr. Kevin Carver

The School District 45 Board of Education voted during a regular board meeting on April 15, 2019, to approve the appointment of Kevin L. Carver, Jr., to the position of Director of Buildings and Grounds.  

Kevin Carver is currently the Director of Buildings, Grounds & Transportation at Cass School District 63 in Darien. He has served as a Facility Manager in Hinsdale Township High School District 86, Hinsdale. Prior to that, he held the position of Building Manager at York High School in Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205, Elmhurst. In his career, Mr. Carver has been a Director of Facilities in a privately owned club and a Commercial Building Inspector. As a trained firefighter paramedic, he served on the Skokie Fire Department and for the York Center Fire District in Lombard. He held a supervisory role in both of those positions. At one time, Kevin Carver was the owner and contractor for Harp Heating. Prior to that, he was with Local 265 as an Apprentice Sheet Metal worker. Mr. Carver served in the Navy as a Third Class Petty Officer-E4, supervising the coordination of sonar surveillance.

 Mr. Carver holds certification from Delaware Technical College and HVAC Local 265 Trade School. He also holds certification as a State Fire Marshal and he is certified through the National Incident Command System through level 800.

 Kevin Carver attended Westmore School in District 45 and graduated from Willowbrook High School, Villa Park. Mr. Carver is currently the Assistant Varsity Coach/Head of Recruiting at Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, and the Football Operations Chairman for the Lombard Falcons Youth Football. His coaching background includes Defensive Line Coach at Willowbrook High School and Defensive Assistant Coordinator/Line Coach at IC Catholic Prep High School, Elmhurst, where he also served as Head Wrestling Coach.
